$34 Million Architectural Gem Glitters with Blue Parakeet Rugs

We are so excited to share this story and this incredible 10,000 sq. ft. modern castle in Beverly Hills built by an undisclosed entertainer. The property is currently listed for sale for a cool $33,950,000.

Revolutionized By Design, headed by Alexandra Parrish, was tapped to stage and style the jaw-dropping home with an eye toward Art Deco meets Modern design. Blue Parakeet Rugs was then brought on board for luxurious antique rugs to help complete the look. Obviously, we jumped at the chance to unroll some of our finest rugs in this regal setting. 

A showstopper from top to bottom, this home features a 92-foot-long infinity pool, elevator access, a sky-lit elliptical staircase floating over a waterfall, a movie theater, sweeping views — and of course, yards and yards of antique rugs that play perfectly with clean architectural lines and modern furnishings. Each rug in this house is a statement piece, but with this much floorspace, we were able to pick out multiple oversized antique rugs for rooms throughout the home.

The living room features one of our gems, a palatial ivory ground Mahal with a wide and intricate tobacco border. Woven in the 1920s, this rug is as timeless as the 14-foot high black marble wall that towers over the space. And in the master bedroom, our princely Indian Agra rug and its royal blue, yellow, and pink motifs deepen the mood set by the sultry velvet king bed and other Deco furnishings.
