Domino and Homes & Gardens Explore Blue Parakeet Rugs-Filled Craftsman
The beautifully restored California craftsman we helped outfit with loads of gorgeous rugs has garnered yet another press mention, this time from Domino Magazine!
In an article titled “Why Our $250K House Restoration Budget Nearly Doubled by the End,” the couple who bought and restored the home, Jamie Haller and Craig Ekedahl, open up about the work behind the scenes of this massive project. It’s amazing to compare the before and after pictures and think of all the hours master craftsmen spent restoring the original woodwork, discovering early century architecture under decades of updates, and creating replicas to fill gaps in one-of-a-kind baseboards and mouldings.
The work was clearly worth it in the end. Blue Parakeet Rugs joined the project when A 1000 x Better stepped in to fill the space with furnishings that highlight the old details with comfort and modern style, including, of course, go-with-everything antique rugs!
Check out Domino’s Renovator’s Notebook for the whole story behind the transformation and incredible photos.
This project was also covered more recently in Homes & Gardens with even more photos of handsome woods and finishes, and, you guessed it, rugs from Blue Parakeet Rugs!
