Dwell Showcases Palisades Oasis Decked in Blue Parakeet Rugs
One of the best things about having a huge inventory of incredible antique Persian rugs is being able to work with the best interior designers when they stage some of California’s most amazing luxury homes. New to the market in the Pacific Palisades is this stunning home overlooking both ocean and Santa Monica canyons that was just featured in Dwell, and the photo gallery is as full of elegant views and rooms as it is of Blue Parakeet Rugs!
568 Chautauqua was beautifully designed by “development duo” David and Eliana Rokach. The sprawling home features open concept living spaces and outdoor areas and even an elevator and 10-car auto gallery. Decorating a space this large can be a challenge, but with the right selection of beachy, modern California furniture and statement antique Persian rugs in muted tones, the result is a welcoming and serene oasis just minutes from the bustle of the city. Eliana, the architect, developer and designer, messaged Sheba on Instagram a few months ago wanting some soulful rugs to dress up the home and bring it to life. Blue Parakeet Rugs stepped in during the last phase when the interiors were coming together. The rugs were her secret sauce to warming up the house with warmth, character and love.
The home is listed by Santiago Arana of The Agency at $26 million. See many of the Blue Parakeet Rugs used for this project in the gallery at Dwell.com.
