Blue Parakeet Rugs Helps Bring 1905 Craftsman Back to Life
CurbedLA covered an incredible, back-from-the-dead renovation of a 1905 craftsman home in Echo Park that you have to see to believe. Since purchasing the neglected house last year, Jamie Haller has lovingly brought it back to its elegant craftsman glory, preserving the floors, millwork, and original built-in shelving and seating while shoring up the foundation and bringing the house up to code.
Jamie worked with a1000xbetter to decorate the home in a mix of old and new that highlights the home’s period details yet feels modern and inviting. Blue Parakeet Rugs provided several antique rugs in muted palettes for the project, which look perfectly at home in the kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, and even the bath. This home is perhaps the best showcase of an antique rug’s ability to bring disparate design elements together into a beautiful whole. The end result of months of work is a stunning vintage home with classic California style.
