Blue Parakeet Rugs Grace Modern Luxury Interiors Magazine

The ‘Japandi gem’ in Eagle Rock that continues to grace the pages of major blogs and magazines recently made the cover of Modern Luxury Interiors LA in a piece titled Organic Modern by Laura Eckstein Jones. This A1000xBetter design by head designer Kirsten Blazek and stylist Ethan Kotch is a study in contrast, texture, and timeless style — and brimming with Blue Parakeet Rugs.

In one bath, a Turkish Anatolian scatter rug sits alongside a scalloped stone wall and bath cabinet, while in another, an antique Caucasian rug adorns an architectural tub. The muted modern kitchen hosts a tribal runner, and the star of the dining room is a dusty pink and pastel floral rug. We brought a curated collection to the site to help the design team pick our just the right mood pieces for each space to feel lived-in and intentional, which they more than accomplished despite the home being a new build!
