Blue Parakeet Rug Runs in Domino Profile of Creator’s Cozy West LA Home
Domino magazine covered a West Hollywood love story between a beautifully renovated home and the amazing creator Janea Brown, or @jnaydaily as she is known by her many fans on Instagram.
“Brown was insistent on downsizing for her move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. Or at least sticking with the same amount of space as her Bushwick one-bedroom apartment,” until she met the gut renovated 1930’s Spanish Revival of her dreams. She ended up renting the house despite its larger-than-planned size to the great relief of the owner, Chaele Cooper, who had just finished the renovation and was nervous about finding the right person to live in the space.
Brown relished the opportunity to outfit a house so architecturally rich with eclectic and Mediterranean decor, including a stunner of a runner from Blue Parakeet Rugs that looks right at home among the deep blue kitchen cabinetry. In fact, she says that through the process of furnishing her space, “I cracked the code on what I love to be surrounded by.” We loved reading her reflections on decorating as a way to find your individual taste and grow creatively.
