Designer Gives Small Space Big Style With Blue Parakeet Rugs

MyDomaine featured a beautiful photo essay on a classic Spanish-style LA bungalow designed from scratch by Shaun Crha and his husband. The couple filled the 345-square-foot guesthouse a with a mix of old and new, high and low, to create an open, warm, and sophisticated space.

As always, we love bringing antique rugs into modern homes. They instantly add texture, color, and character, which in turn highlight modern architecture and furnishings. In the entryway, Shaun contrasted sleek black steel, glass, and white walls with a vintage silkscreen, wooden bench, and a timeworn Blue Parakeet Rugs runner. The finished space is both cozy and luxe, and sure to be a hit with their guests.
